i work for a travel agency in ni and upon arriving at palma a/port on sun 24/8/03 to get my flt back home i met paxs bkd on pmi/edi for fri 22/8 who were still in pmi apt in horrendous conditions. These paxs had no help from anyone. How on earth any company with any credability could behave in such a manner is beyond me. I spoke to people with disabilities e.g. diabetes/heart problems/asthma who were in total distress. Children were sleeping on tables, floors, chairs and hadnt even been offered water or food. All I can say is it is an utter disgrace to treat anyone in that fashion.

air scotland is a cheap no frills airline that got us to barcelona and back to glasgow ahead of time, but if booking a hotel stay well clear of the olympic hotel in calella it is the pits and could result in salmonella poisoning 8th march 2004

Flew air scotland from glasgow to barcelona for a long weekend end of june! everything was great from start to finish. Customer services staff were very helpful when i had a problem receiving my emails. Cabin crew were very friendly. Would like to wish air scotland and their staff all the best for the future, and i will definatley be flying with them again in the very near future.

The flight itself from Barcelona to Edinburgh was fine - no problems whatsoever. The Captain kept us well informed throughout out journey. However, the only downside were the prices of snacks - ?.00 for a Tuna sandwich and ?.50 for a 330ml bottle of water!

Booked our flights back in February -no problem, was a bit dubious of printing the flight tickets.

Departed to Palma on Tuesday 17 June and found service and staff from checking in - to flying 1st class.

Would definately fly with Air Scotland Again.

I do understand that the first Scottish low-cost airline. I hope the airline will get better. We need to give it a chance.

They were rubbish I would never fly with them again

In summary - a bit of a shambles!

Flying from Edinburgh to Barcelona 16/05/03. Flight left one hour late, due to late incoming flight. Flight serviced by Air Holland - staff on board not very helpful or efficient. Tried to tell us that it was normal to serve a frozen chicken and bacon roll and 'just to wait for it to defrost!!'

Flight home altogether worse. They had cancelled the flight home to Edinburgh on Sunday 18/05/03 which we had booked and offered the Monday flight to Glasgow. (A coach to take us to Edinburgh was promised.) As I'm sure you have already guessed, there was no coach booked to take us to Edinburgh. No one from Air Scotland was contactable at Glasgow airport at 9pm and Servisair have no responsiblity in this area! We took a Taxi at a cost of ?5 and are trying to claim this money back from the airline.

I would normally fully support any scottish company trying to improve the choice of direct flights from Scotland but I think I'll give it a year or so to see if the service improves before flying with them again!

My wife and I flew with Air Scotland to Mallorca and they had changed to Air Holland for aircraft. We were impressed with comfort/leg room, and also quality of in flight meals. Would like to compliment Air Scotland,s cabin staff on both outward and return journeys for their friendliness and professionalism.

Would certainly fly with them again

Good budget service - no frills but got there on time.

I would like to inform future potential customers about the disgraceful treatment that my partner and I endured as passengers on an Air Scotland flight from Barcelona to Glasgow on Friday 25 April.

We duly arrived at Barcelona Airport at 9.00am expecting a 9.30am check in for an 11.30am flight. Eventually told by Iberia staff that flight had been cancelled due to technical problems and to return to check in desk at 6.00pm as there should be an Air Holland flight departing at 8.00pm which would take us to EDINBURGH. Coaches would then be provided to transfer passengers to Glasgow Airport.

No meal vouchers offered, had to be requested. Given €3,50 each (approx. ?.45) despite the fact that we would be spending the next 10 hours (and more as it turned out) at the airport.

Flight actually left at 10.50pm. NO COMPENSATORY MEAL OR DRINK OFFERED ON THIS FLIGHT DESPITE THE MASSIVE INCONVENIENCE.

Midnight UK time. Land at Edinburgh. Since our arrival at Barcelona Airport this morning, it has taken us sixteen hours to reach this point. That does not include a further journey that had to be made to Glasgow.

Having read the papers the folowing morning, it seems that Mr Dhia Al-Ani, MD of Air Scotland, terminated his contract with Electra Airlines on Thursday afternoon - Obviously with complete lack of consideration to passengers who were facing imminent travel the following day.

I have today informed him by letter of events that day, and will duly advise you of his comments and the compensation he intends to provide for the total lack of "reliable, quality service" which he seeks to provide.

Booking on the website is a bit of an effort! I fly several times a month on various airlines and never has an on-line booking taken so long! And what's all this about printing out your tickets?? Can't they just have a reference number which can be checked at the airport.

Love to have rated them but you refused to accept my wheelchair. I will continue to smile but it aint always easy. The battery is IATA approved gel type. A push wheelchair is useless 1 mile from a beach and I refuse to be compromised by my disability. Nevertheless I wish success to any new Scottish airline.

Jim Lyons, Edinburgh Rated 4:-
The only fault was the poor inflight meal from Edinburgh.

Louise Innes, Spain Appear not to be able to get on to your web site as I want to look into bookings flights from Alicante to Scotland - either Glasgow or Edinburgh. Please let me know how to contact you and then I can get booking.

Alison McKay, Glasgow/Houston Trying to book a flight and there is no service available!!

Maureen, Glasgow The first aircraft arrived at Glasgow Airport on 24/3 for all to see, looks brill. Although it is operated by Electra, it is Scottish in every way. I think that the comming months will rate it Number one by every one.
By the way, 1- You print your own ticket as soon as you book. You also receive a confirmation with a link to your tickets for you to print any time you like. If you don't know how, you should call for assistance.
2- If you cannot find a flight, may be you are checking the wrong flight. Check the "Flight Info" on the navigation on the left of your screen.
3- You have to wait until they start flying then you can rate it but customer services so far have been brilliant which is hopefully a good indication of good things to come.

Alison Robertson, Dundee I have booked flights to Barcelona in September for my parents but have yet to receive the tickets. They have been paid.

David, UK How can you grade the airline very good when they haven't started operations yet. Remember too, don't be fooled by the name - flights will be operated by Electra Airlines who are based in Greece!

Ian McArthur Trying to book is a problem

Elizabeth, Glasgow Rated 2:-
unable to get a flight for up to 20 different flight dates, very dissapointing

Jacqueline, Glasgow Rated 4:-
very good.
