My children and I began our trip from Orlando to Hartford in June. The flight arrived 2 hours late. The pilot couldn't give the passengers a reason for the delay. My children enjoyed the GPS and trivia contest. I enjoyed the television (nice surprise)! Staff was friendly. Seats were a bit narrow. Return flight was on time, even though we ran into stormy weather. I would consider flying again.

Recent round trip MCO to LAX flight 2040 was great. On time, flight crew happy cabin clean, direct no Dalas nightmare. Return trip one major flaw. Seats I had reserved not honored. Wife in front myself in rear of plane.. My opinion if you pay for a seat you get that seat. Seat shakeup caused by families with lap kids. No help for us seniors with physical problems. Bottom line keep eye on seat assignment Song changes without notifying you.

I came from Florida on Sat. the 24th @ 3:10 and arrived in New York @ 5:30 i was supposed to arrive @ 3:00 the captain did not know how to land from my understanding from my fellow passengers and I did not get on song that was the major issue i got on a delta airplane i wanted to experience Song not Delta when I arrived in New York i saw two flights that belong to song air line and they didn't even make an announcement until every one got to the desk where you go on the air plane that's what really got me mad and they gave us a little snack that wouldn't help well any way i know that i will not be flying on song or Delta no more unless i hear or see about some changes cause that make no sense or if they didn't make an announcement they could of put it up on the screen. well i appreciate the captain getting me home safe but never again will i fly until i see some changes made or someone tells me about them

forgot to mention-- song had the lowest round trip airfare to orlando from boston-- $140 round trip... great price! the food is a bit pricey but the airline lets you bring your own meal on board if you prefer.

I think that SONG must be an acronym for "Schedule Often Notta Guarantee". I was booked on direct flight #2023 from Tampa to Hartford on 6/10/04 and flight scheduled to leave @8:30 PM. When I got to the gate, passengers were seeing that the gate posting said that the flight was going to Atlanta! Upon asking, we were informed, rather casually, that the flight had been changed, suddenly, to make a stop in Atlanta and we were putting 100 more passengers on!! And, oh yes, we would be leaving an hour late and then allow for the extra "little stop-off in Atlanta"....our "new" scheduled time of arrival was 12:45AM instead of 11:11PM as originally scheduled. Even that was a gross underestimate, as we ended up arriving in Hartford at closer to 2AM the next morning. And, oh yes, because they were making this stop, there would be no food to be purchased on board, as promised. Those of us who had planned to purchase food on board, found that the ground facilities were now clo! sed at the airport) Never heard of this happening before...(letting people book their flight as direct and an hour before flight time, just change it to a non-direct flight. When Sears used this "bait and switch" approach many years ago, they ended up with a class action lawsuit) Because of the delay, I missed my ride home and had to stay over night at the airport which set me back an additional $150!! Then my flight back was June 14, flight #2084, and it was delayed by 1.5 hours with very little explanations and no apologies. Flight cost was $99, which was good in itself, but if you add the cost of flying Song, like hotel expenses, it was really $250.00. Yes, there are some great doo-dads on board, but all the little neat things don't make up for the fact that on my first experience with Song, there was no adherence to the schedule at all!! I had high expectations for Song but very disappointed (and have over 400k Delta frequent flyer miles, so I am not a novice) Flight att! endants were great but by the time I got on board, I it was already had a "sad SONG" for me.

my brother-in-law, wife and daughter recently flew song to orlando and came back raving about the experience. in particular, they mentioned the "fun" atmosphere created by the flight crew and the back-of-the-seat screens for watching movies. my teenage daughter, who is hard to please, actually said she'd like to fly song all the time.

I just have to say that on a recent flight from Boston to West Palm Beach the attendants were fantastic! We have flown Song since the beginning (yes, and we were on those flights that didn't have tv installation as yet... and while no kid I know of doesn't carry a GameBoy at all times there were several on board for the kids (yes, and some adults) to try... our son chose Song's over his own once it was obvious that there were a few that had not been taken) because "of the game". On a recent flght (just as everyone was concerned aboiut terrorists) we boarded in Boston... had a wonderful flight that ended with a mini in-seat exercise session. The trivia game was wonderful... you would have had to be on the flight to see how competitive it was and the ahhhss and oh nos that filtered through the airline as we headed south. And in the end... everyone wanted to see and meet who was seated in row 30... the one who "knew it all"! I have to also say that the food... yes, it is packaged is great and perhaps a few more light choices for kids/teens would be nice, but I will take the salad wrap any day over the "free" food on other airlines.

Great job!

To the Boston crew that was on our flight at 4:55 on Thursday before Memorial Day... we are looking forward to returning with you Monday at 9:00. See you on board!

Great experience. There were two of us with two seperate flights down and one flight back. Check in was easy and quick. The planes were new. The attendants were helpful. They had on-board satellite TV which was good for both of us going down, but kept losing the signal on the way back. It was cool to watch the GPS of the plane in flight on route. The food was good. The pilots were good. For both flights down the pilots didn't say too much. It was a bumpy ride. For the flight back, the pilot was excellent. He banked the plane easy. Decended easy. He made a perfect touch down! Overall, I did not mind giving my money away for to this airline. Oh yeah, the flight was inexpensive and on time!

Clay Rated 3:-
cheap, and prices weren't too bad even a few days before. Seats were nice, planes new...their boarding process was weird, with it being done in groupings. many people were not used to this and had to be told to look at their ticket for their group number. no tvs in my plane bcz I traveled on one of the first flights, but they promised a bunch of stations and mp3s too.

Jaime Rated 4:-
Song is a breath of fresh air in the airline industry. Every point of contact that I had from calling the reservations office to getting off the plane was welcoming and efficient. The ticket prices are more than reasonable. Song could teach JetBlue a thing or two! I will make Song my choice from now on.

Michelle Rated 4:-
I really enjoyed the flight. The satelite tv is great! It would be nice if you could offer a choice or change the children's Lunchable selection. There are MANY different lunchables. Please consider adding something else. My kids really did not like the cheese and crackers.

Just Flew Song R/T from NY to Ft Lauderdale. I wanted to go Jet Blue, but their low fares were gone for the period I wanted, so I made reservationns thru Orbitz on a low fare with Delta. I had never heard of Song. I was pleasantly suprised, to say the least. I wanted Jet Blue originally because I loved the TV's, it made flights go by quickly. I didn't know I'd be getting TV on Song until I got to the gate. Same exact system as Jet Blue, but Better, because they also had an in-flight, continuous music trivia game, if there was nothing I wanted to watch on TV. It was fun and really made the flight zip by. The lady at the gate in Ft Lauderdale was super friendly and very nice and funny. Only criticism I have is no Chips or such to go with soda/juice. Jet Blue definitely has them beat there with their Blue Chips. My luggage was damaged, but I know that's the TSA's fault, not Song's.

Albert Roberto Rated 1:-
As a longtime customer of JetBlue, my opinion is that Song should take some JetBlue lessons because you have a long way to go. Your seats are narrow and uncomfortable, your terminal in NY is a disgrace, some of your flight crew look like they slept in their mismatched uniforms and when I hear the crew chief refer to the other flight attendants as the "talent" my first reaction is that she is talking about hookers or strippers and not flight attendants. In addition, on my flight from NY to Tampa I checked an item that was still in it's original factory packaging( having been purchased three hours previously) and entrusted it to the care and custody of Song. When it got to Tampa the carton was open, the packaging missing and the item damaged. Of course the comment of the Song/Delta personnel was that it was someone else's fault (TSA) and so I am out of pocket the original cost ($260.00) as well as incidental and ancillary costs which will be incurred in trying to recover for the damage. Is this anyway to run an airline? I don't think so.

Paul G Rated 1:-
Those bastards stole stuff out of my checked bag. They refuse to do anything about it. They steal from their customers and their corperate policy allows it to happen. Never fly this airline, never.

Sparky Rated 4:-
Great experience! The food choices were healthy and actually tasted good. Staff pleasant and helpful. I would definitely fly again.

This is to let you know how DISCUSTED I am with Song Airline. The flight out of JFK was delayed due to over booking, which caused me to miss my car service. At a cost of $153. to me. On the return flight # 2492 on 21 February 2004 the airline did not stock enough food for purchase. I was traveling with two 8 year olds and one ten year old children which I counted on feeding during the flight. They simply ran out which I find to be just stupidly on there part with an over booked flight. Then to top it off they lost two of our bags (file # JFKDL19577 Claim tag numbers DL662507 and DL 662506).

I have used Delta for many years, but if this is the type of service I can expect I think its time to start using another airline. I will be sure to tell all my friends and family.

Jenny Rated 4:-
The flight was excellent. The flight attendants were very nice and very polite. Their service is awesome. I was very pleased I chose Delta Song.

Note: If you are over 250lbs. I do not recommend flying Delta Song, their seats are very small.

Michelle Rated 4:-
I have never laughed as hard as I did on flight 2493 from NYC to MCO!!! The flight attendants were excellent, full of fun and joy and made this drab flight very enjoyable. We also got a preview of the entertainment system soon coming. The flight was v. v. cheap beating all nearest competitors - took off on time and beat the arrival time. The food was excellent and i'd certainly rather pay the $7 for their sandwich than the pathetic attempt the only sandwich shop in the terminal was selling! But the atmosphere on the flight is what will make me go back. They even put nervous flyers at ease!!!!

My husband and I flew from Boston to Tampa. We weren't sure about pre-printed boarding pass but a Song rep was there and walked us through it(the return flight we did our own no problems)we had the seats we reserved on-line. The flight crew was great. funny, smiling offered many menu/beverage choices. The plane was clean, smelled nice and the colors were a nice change. The flight crew also offered use of gameboy gaming systems which was a surprise. Coming into Tampa there were massive thunderstorms which the pilot had to keep zig-zagging around but he told us at each change in direction and altitude so no one was nervous. AND we only came in 10min late due to the storms-NOT BAD! At each destination-the whole crew saw us off the plane with smiles and hand-shakes.

wonderful wide seats, plenty of leg room flight down was confusing as delta had us seating all together and at airport we did not have assigned seats as our travel agent had said so this was a little crazy but staff was nice flight was good but also crazy on return flight when the person picking you up goes to delta terminal and it says baggage will be in d section but we are told f section thank god for cell phones maybe that can be made clearer

Nicole Rated 5:-
I had a wonderful experience with Delta Song. They were very organized, polite staff. The airplane was colorful and welcoming. However, there weren't any form of entertainment for 2 hours. But I must say the pilot did get us to our destationation 20 minutes early. Overall, Delta Song is on the top of my list.

LM Rated 4:-
I would like to reply to the person that flew from Boston to Orlando. Song's most expensive flight, last minute walk-up fare is 299. If the flight was booked 200 days ago it was not booked under Song as Song has been only flying less than 100 days. Song is not advertising that its aircraft has the new entertainment system, that will not be available until October.

Woof Rated 2:-
Song is a farce. Is it any different than the old Delta Express? I think not. Same flight numbers. Sure, they spruced up the planes but they also hiked the fares. Nothing low cost about $500 BOS to MCO with 200+ days advance purchase. Expedia offers the exact same flights at $150 less. Delta is ripping off its customers.

Kelly Rated 4:-
I was very satisfied with Delta’s low-cost airline, Song. The bright colored leather seats were a nice change, all were a bright blue with different colored sides, purple, green, fuchsia. The airline attendants were very friendly and actually funny. They were asking if anyone wanted a mixed drinks, snickers bars, Pringles. They also had a nice variety of sandwiches all were available for a cost $5-$7, not bad. The flight was on-time and they actually worked with us to change our flight coming back. I paid $25 to change my ticket to an earlier flight. When I got to the gate they presented the new boarding pass immediately. I would fly Song any chance I get.

Yesterday, I flew from JFK - MCO on Song, the new low-cost airline from Delta (presumably in direct competition with jetBlue).

Flights operated with Delta flight numbers, but are all-economy 757 aircraft with separate livery & interiors. Soft drinks are provided free of charge, alcoholic beverages for $5 and food for $7 (cold food only). Light snacks also available for $3. No in-flight entertainment (unlike jetBlue) -- and no inflight magazine either.
